Studio Sessions | Frank the Dachshund

I recently had the gorgeous Frank come to me for his photoshoot, and his cheeky nature and playfulness made for such a brilliant shoot!

I spoke with Frank’s owner Emma, and we decided that using four or five different backdrops would be the best way to showcase Frank’s beautiful colourings, and would mean that we would spend roughly 10-15 minutes on each background. This turned out to be a great option, as it meant Frank had the chance to run around between backdrops and use up some energy, meaning that he wasn’t quite so wriggly whilst I photographed him!

In typical Dachshund fashion, Frank can be quite the cheeky chappy! With this in mind, we wanted to ensure that his mischievous nature was captured in Frank’s images. Emma was a bit worried that Frank wouldn't manage sitting still or cooperating with the camera, however we used a mixture of Frank listening to commands, food bribes, and sometimes a little bit of editing to remove a lead from the image!

If you’d like to have your pet photographed but are unsure of how your best friend would behave, pop me a message! I love working with animals and owners alike to ensure that everyone is in a fun and safe space to capture beautiful images.
